Background Information

After the formulation of the state of Rajasthan ,under the employees insurance rules 1953 ,compulsory State insurance scheme was made applicable on all the government employees of the state with an aim of providing social and economic security ,from 1-1-1954 .The scheme was further extended ,and was made applicable on employees of zila parishads and panchayat samities from 1-4-1989.later from 1-4-1995 the scheme was made applicable on all the work charge employees of different Departments under the State Government.

The old rules were re-written and new insurance rules came into force from 01-04-1998.
